Got my groove on again!

Got my groove on again!!

Well I'm finally back in the groove! Spinning, spinning spinning! Finished up these bulky spun single ply skeins of alpaca today, washed and set them, now they just need to dry. I think I will need to light the wood burning stove tonight to help get these dried. I'm very happy with how these spun up especially my 2 ply of Monte and American Idol, which is the tan and chocolate. Check out the black heathering in the gray. Heathering? is that even a word? Not sure, but I think you know what I mean! Gorgeous, these will go up on my etsy sight to sell. www.Pamsfiber.etsy.com.

Early Thaw

Early thaw, early mud! Life on a farm. Cleaned out the cold frame today, mixed some manure in with the dirt, its now like black gold. Should have a good start to the growing season. The birds are at the feeder just hanging out with the squirls. I will say the critters are enjoying these warm temps and are all out sunbathing. Time to think about maple syrup season and all those weekends of cooking sap. The smell of the burning fire, and syrup lets one know that spring is just around the corner. So my signs of spring is mud and syrup season, then I know winter is coming to an end sooner then later.
